Living with Purpose: Is Your Life Significant?

Living with purpose:  Is your life significant?  Are you a person who is looking at the other end of the dash and wondering…is that all there is?  Perhaps you’ve had a very successful career and now you’re in retirement, contemplating the next 10-15 years of entertaining yourself.  For some, after the first 6-18 months, the question formulates inside….”Where is the significance of my life?”

Or, maybe you’re a parent who has just begin to experience the “empty nest.”  All of your life has been filled with doing what needed to be done to raise your brood in a safe, comfortable, nurturing environment.  Now, with the last one out the door, you ask. “Who am I?”  As a parent, you knew – you were ‘Mom” or “Dad.”  You knew it so well that sometimes you even threatened to change your name!  Now what?

Having been consumed with the career or parenting for so much of our lives, many of us did not take time for ourselves to ask, “Why am I on this planet?”

One of the things I have a passion for is taking a person aside for one month of weekly sessions and watching them light up with such a fiery passion as I help them uncover their strengths.  I love to see the renewed hope and energy as I then strategize with them on how to begin to develop their own personal path on a day to day basis.  The results when they begin to find and practice their purpose is nothing short of phenomenal.  They can see clearly through the woods of everyday life, and the self-assuredness and confidence rises.  I have witnessed this with countless clients as others begin to take them more seriously.  They begin living with purpose.

Perhaps you are not successful yet, but you want to be.  Maybe you have no children and are too young to retire.  Not to worry!  Looking for meaning in your life has only one prerequisite – to be human!  Each of us needs identify…our own individual reason to live.

So, today, answer this question for yourself….”How are you BEing you today?”
