I continue to grow and change, to refine what and how and the order in which I do things. I have completely changed the order of my Miracle Morning, waiting on coffee until I read and write at 6:30 AM. I stay in bed, and put on a headset to stay focused for worship first. Then, I exercise outside in the morning sun and fresh air (I was by the pool today…awesome!!). I love the way I change.
Last night, I watched “The Shift” by Wayne Dyer. A great statement of insight just broke my heart open with peace and joy. It was, ”You (the Father and Son) live through me!” Think about that!
This morning, I received an analogy – a word picture for one of my favorite themes of God in us. I established a drama troupe which ministered in our tri-state area of Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois. I used the verse “Were not our hearts burning within us?” (Luke 24:32) to name our group Blazing Call Drama Troupe. I was reminded of another verse, “In Him we live and move and have our BEing,” (Acts 17:28). Wow! The relationships, insights, and spiritual highs continue to multiply!
God brought more verses to mind – “For I live, not I, but Christ lives in me (Galations 2:20). “Do you know you are the temple of God, and the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16). Even His name Emmanuel means “God is with us.”
Thus, this analogy of a bubble was born. Bubbles are a happy item! Envision little children blowing, chasing, and popping bubbles! One day, I was at Santa Barbara beach watching the sunset at that famous spot, Boathouse/Hendry’s Beach, when a little child came blowing bubbles right in front of me. So, of course I caught this picture of the bubble at sunset. It’s fascinating how it lifts the spirit to see bubbles – so airy, fragile, and malleable, expanding to different shapes all because of the air blown inside their transparent thin sheath. Bubbles glisten in the sun’s light as they bounce, dance, sail, and float. Bubbles show us the difference of the Old Testament God saying, “I want to dwell WITH my people,” because when Jesus left the earth, He sent His Holy Spirit to live IN us. We live inside God, and God lives inside us!!
I realize we cannot figure this out logically, because He is God, and we are not! His ways are higher than ours. Just searching for a bit of understanding, let’s use the word picture of a bubble. The bubble (you and me) is filled with the breath of God (the Holy Spirit). We take our size, shape, and location from God as He launches us into the air, and we move by His air currents. In other words, when He blows on us, we move, dance, rise, fall, drift, and float on the Breath of God. He is in us. He fills every inch of our being with Himself, and we get our lift. We receive life from His “Breath of Life,” and we move. “I live not, but Christ lives in me,” “In Him, we live and move and have our being.”
How wonderful!! We can relax! We don’t have a thing to worry about because God is in us helping us to rise and float. He is on the outside blowing us where He wants and needs us to BE. As we rise and float and just BE, the sun (Jesus) causes us to glow and glisten with a rainbow of brilliant hues that make people around us so happy and inspired. We (as bubbles) are also transparent so that God is actually seen in us! What an honor, responsibility, and thrill to be filled with and moved by God! God, the Almighty Creator of the entire universe, lives through me!
