I have a lot of trouble keeping a focus on the future. I know my vision of the future is in my imagination, and I realize I need to see it in my mind’s eye. But, I must say, I live a lot in the past memories, and I find it a most common situation. So, what to do??
Again, Mike Murdock (I cannot recommend his books enough!) tells us another piece of wisdom. All of us have memories, positive and negative. God is into memories! He even told Joshua to set up some stones – 12 of them – to remind themselves and future generations about His miracles (Joshua 4:20-24).
That is so cool! I never thought about choosing which memories to pull up! Why not just make a list of all my victories and spend my day thanking God for all of the successes in my life? I tried it, and now I’m believing that I can concur the world! Now I can easily imagine my victorious future!
So, I encourage you today to make a list of all your past victories. See how it changes you from the inside out!
